CCÉ Teampall An Ghleanntáin Notes

The Teampall an Ghleanntáin Comhaltas craobh is looking forward to the visit of the Leixip Comhaltas group from Co Kildare this weekend. The group will take part in music and singing workshops on Saturday afternoon and will join with local branch members and others at the Devon Inn on Saturday night for a Seisiún Mór Ceoil to which there will be a céad míle fáilte for everybody.

Music classes resumed on Monday last, after the mid-term break. There will be no Bodhrán classes on Saturday next but a new five-week term on Saturday evenings at 5pm will commence on Saturday, March 9.

Members of the Pléaracha na nÓg group will perform at the West Limerick Singers Concert at Fr Casey’s, Abbeyfeale, on Saturday, March 9.

Best wishes to traditional singer Con Warren on the forthcoming launch of his CD which will take place at Monagea Community Centre on Sunday, March 10 at 4pm. The CD is titled Lovely Gougane Barra. All are welcome to the launch and an evening of music, storytelling and dance. All proceeds of the CD go to St. Ita’s Community Hospital.
