The fundraising concert held at Halla Inse Bán, Templeglantine on Saturday night last provided a wonderful programme of traditional entertainment. It was organised in aid of the Suas Volunteer Programme in Zambia with whom Laura O’Donoghue, Ballaugh, will be volunteering as a teaching assistant in disadvantaged schools for two months during the Summer. The concert on the night raised a total of €1775 and the organisers wish to thank most sincerely all who helped to make such a success. Laura, who is a very fine musician and singer, has been closely involved with the local Comhaltas craobh over the past twelve years and has represented the craobh at Fleadhanna and other events during that time. Go néirí an t-ádh léi I Zambia.
