County Fleadh Cheoil Entries

All branches in Co. Limerick should now start preparing their entries for this year’s Fleadh Cheoil Luimnigh 2020 which will be held in Athea over the June Bank Holiday weekend (Friday, May 29th – Bank Holiday Monday, June

1st ). All Comhaltas members MUST hand in their entries into their Local Branch Secretary who will then forward them onto Rúnaí Chontae, Ultan Ó Maolcatha prior to Friday, April 10th. 

All non-members should forward to entries to Ultan Ó Maolcatha, Templeglantine West, Templeglantine, Co.Limerick prior to Friday, April 10th . Entries received after this date will not be accepted.


The following are this year entry fees for the Fleadh Cheoil Luimnigh 2020 :

Comhaltas Members:

- Junior (under 18) - €2.00 per person per competition

- Senior : €4.00 per person per competition


Non-Members:

- Junior (under 18) - €10.00 per person per competition

- Senior : €20.00 per person per competition


Full names of all competitors in DUETS and TRIOS must be given. It is very important to note that all competitors must be residents of Co. Limerick. Use the Irish form of all competitors’ names as far as possible. Age of all competitors’ for this year’s Fleadh is reckoned at January 1st 2020. References to age determination in respect of Fleadh Rules are interpreted as follows - If a person’s 12th birthday falls on January 1st then that person competes in the Under 12 Category. This rule for age determination is applied in respect of the other categories. No entries will be accepted over the phone.
