Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan 2022

The 2022 Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan will take place in Newcastle West from Wednesday, 13th July to Saturday, 16th July. 

Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan was due to be held in Newcastle West in July 2020 but had to be cancelled due to Covid-19. It has been nine years since the Munster Fleadh Cheoil has taken place in Co. Limerick – the last venue being in UL in 2013 and hosted by CCÉ, Caladh an Treoigh.

The Munster Competitions for Set, Céilí and Sean Nós dancing will take place on the Wednesday and Thursday while the Music, Singing, Comhrá competitions will take place on the Friday and Saturday.

The Fleadh Coiste was elected last week. Events planned for this festival of traditional culture will be publicised over the next few months but of course it will include the Munster Finals in music, song, Irish language and set dancing where first and second qualify to Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022 in Mullingar next August.
